Overview

Come to Merrist Wood to photograph their collection of rare and exotic animals.

The workshop includes a full day’s photography at Merrist Wood College where you will be able to photograph a variety of animals from their fantastic collection.

Some of the animals you may see are as follows:

Three Banded Armadillo
Ring Tailed Coati

Sugar Glider

Cuban Iguana

Violet Winged Grasshopper

The welfare of the animals is paramount.  All animals are handled by Merrist Wood and Chameleon Photography dedicated handlers only and they take great care to ensure a safe environment for both their animals and workshop participants, including respecting any dislikes or phobias.

No previous experience of photography is required for this workshop, it’s limited to a maximum of six guests to ensure all participants have ample time to get the images they are after.

Description

Your day will be spent with 3 photographic sessions with the aim to take as many images of the rare and exotic collection from Merrist Wood as possible in a safe and controlled environment.

There will be access to specialist professional lighting units to ensure that you obtain a fantastic set of images throughout the day.

You will also see some amazing creatures that are rare and part of a special conservation programme.

You will need to bring plenty of spare batteries and memory cards for this amazing day!!

    A DSLR or mirrorless camera with a hotshoe

  • Is the price fully inclusive?

    No, you will need to bring your own packed lunch!

  • Which lens do you recommend?

    A zoom that covers a range up to 300mm will be good.
