Overview

Came and take images of Harvest Mice in a natural setting and woodland birds from a purpose built and natural reflection pool

Natural Wonders Photography has teamed up with Dean Mason of Windows on Wildlife to provide our clients with  a great opportunity to take amazing images of harvest mice and woodland birds situated on completely private land in rural Dorset and surrounded by ancient woodland.

We are now pleased to offer harvest mice workshops which are suitable to all levels of photographer, sessions in the reflection pool hide or a combination of both in our all new Combination Day.

Workshops are held in the great outdoors at a beautiful rural location, allowing for different and distant natural backgrounds for your images.   Possibilities for a wide variety of images is easily achievable and due to a book and the time is yours policy, you will not have to share the day with other photographers.

Our aim is complete customer satisfaction and for you to get the maximum from your visit.  The workshops are all straightforward and natural with a very relaxed atmosphere.

Morning sessions: 10.00am until 12.30pm (harvest mice)

Afternoon sessions: 1.30pm until 4.00pm (harvest mice)

The reflection pool hide is fully lined and insulated for that extra bit of comfort during those cold days that occur way too often in the UK.  There is plenty of room within the hide for 3 persons comfortably and 4 persons if you don’t mind a bit of a squeeze. Reflection pool windows offer enough space for 3 persons in comfort, with an additional side window for post/perched images should a 4th person wish to attend.

The hide is of multi purpose usage and you are not governed to just the one position during your visit, swapping photographic windows is allowed and encouraged.   There is also space for your camera equipment and personal belongings.

Suitable for all levels of photographer, from seasoned professionals wishing to add to their ever increasing portfolios through to beginners learning the craft and in need of one to one tuition. Whatever your needs we can cater for all.

  • What lenses shall I bring?

The Reflection Pool hide is suitable for lenses from 200mm and up to 500mm.

We recommend with 200mm lenses that a crop factor body is used & 500mm lenses a full frame body is better suited.

Essentially anything wth a focal length of between 300mm and 500mm will be fine.

For the harvest mice a macro lens works well.   A 105mm macro lens is fine.
